Swedish Community
A pioneer in road safety activities, Sweden has introduced a bold policy, back in 1997. Called “Vision Zero”, the program's goal is to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries by 2020.
Its interdisciplinary approach involving highway and traffic engineers, law enforcement, vehicle designers, medical specialists, educators, social scientists, media, government officials and others makes the “Vision Zero” an important trademark in road safety in Europe.

Bearing this in mind, we have created the Swedish Community to facilitate the exchange of ideas among the national entities and to offer them the possibility to share their good practices with all the European countries
