ZDM, the Kalisz Municipal Roads Administration, is a public sector entity, directly subordinate to the Kalisz Municipal Office. It is responsible for road management and traffic organisation as well as the construction and maintenance of roads within the City of Kalisz borders. Number of employees: 52.

ZDM, the organisational entity subordinate to the President of the City of Kalisz, and responsible for road management within the administrative borders of the city commits itself to:

 

1.         Carrying out specific activities in the field of improvement road traffic safety, such as:

 

"           Construction of six roundabouts on crossroads with heavy traffic, where cars entering from side roads are exposed to dangerous situations

"           Creating left turns, building pavements and bicycle lanes and introducing measures to slow down the traffic in places where speed limits are often exceeded

"           Building new stretches of bicycle lanes

"           Restructuring the existing dangerous pedestrian crossings and fitting them with traffic lights

"           Creating safety zones on pedestrian crossings

"           Placing chain barriers on dangerous stretches of roads which pedestrians are prohibited from crossing.

 

2.         Share experiences and opinions with other public administration entities and with organisations that may have influence on the improvement of road safety.

 

3.         Develop the strategy for the activities of the Municipal Roads Administration in Kalisz, aiming to gradually improve road safety.
