The SAFEBOOK team was created to give a new dimension to Road Safety and Driving Behavior. SAFEBOOK is based in Athens, Greece and uses the free book method to send out free of charge publications to a growing audience.
 

Safebook as part of its commitment to road Safety and to the charter will undertake the following actions in the next 3 years:

1. On the portal: www.safebook.gr Safebook will inform readers in the news section, the latest news from the road safety related events in Greece. The Portal will also contain instructions and useful information for drivers of cars and motorcycles with an aim to prevent and reduce the number of road accidents in the country. Such information will be the road safety code of conduct and general road safety advice. The new portal will be launched in mid-September 2011.

2.Safebook will create, publish and distribute a book related to road safety. This book will be distributed to the employees of organizations that are active in the field of corporate social responsibility in terms of road safety in Greece. The book will be distributed to these employees for free.

Objective: One (1) publication of a book every year.

3. Safebook will organize road safety informative events with a general objective to raise awareness on road risks and encourage safe driving. During these events Safebook will distribute informative pamphlets to the attendees. To achieve participation at these events Safebook will prepare Posters, banners and send out special invitations to key road safety figures in the country. The events will be organized during globally defined days of road safety such as: On November 16 - World Day of Remembrance of Victims of Road Accidents On 23 to 29 April - Global Week of the UN Road Safety, etc.
