The Congress, organized in coherence with the 2012 PRI General Meeting, will be hosted by the Moroccan National Committee of Prevention of Traffic Accidents (CNPAC) and will be held 7 and 8 June in Marrakech-Morocco.

 

The main theme of the Congress is about Road Safety and Mobility in Urban Areas. In these areas are the most victims of road crashes. The role of local communities and citizens, results of research and measures, the link between mobility and road safety strategies and actions at national, regional and local level, best practices, new technologies and more, will be highlighted by expert speakers from different regions of the world. The Congress contributes to the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020 with its special focus on vulnerable road users. Residential areas should be a safe haven for children, elderly people, pedestrians, two-wheelers and other vulnerable road users.
