The Lynda Chalker Award is presented by Road Safety GB to an individual or organisation who has contributed significantly to road safety in the UK. The 2011 award was presented at the Road Safety GB National Conference on 15 November. Alan Kennedy, chair of Road Safety GB, presented the award to Angela Lee and Amanda Woodward on behalf of the Bicycle Helmet Initiative Trust.

Towards safer transport of goods and passengers in Europe.

The European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) has published a new report with highlights on improvements in goods and passenger transport fatalities. The report contents are: Collisions involving heavy goods vehicles - Collisions involving light goods vehicles - Collisions involving buses or coaches - Driving for work - Interview - ETSC Recommendations.

With great success, on Wednesday 30 May 2012, an education Road Safety Seminar, dedicated in the memory of Danny Galvin, was held at CTC Head Office premises.

In front of a crowd of more than a hundred persons, employees of Shacolas Group Companies and other guests, several speakers enlightened the attendees through their presentations on the subject.
