Europe on the Move is a brochure, which was published in 2004 by the European Commission Directorate-General for Energy and Transport and explains the role and responsibility of the European Union in ensuring common development and improvements in the road haulage sector and public passenger transport. Road is the lifeline of the European single market for carrying goods and passengers door-to-door across the continent.

The brochure describes the EU’s aims and regulatory considerations in harmonising the political and strategic objectives of each new and existing Member State, implementing optimum and uniform conditions for road users, transport operators and services suppliers, and establishing a competitive and integrated European area for the transport of goods and passengers by road.
