RSF Hellas

RSF Hellas is the Greek representation of RSF (Radio Sans Frontière). Their mission is to support NGO humanitarian missions following natural disasters. Members of RSF Hellas are Volunteers specialized in communications and or Volunteers specialized in First Aid.

 

Selbstverpflichtung

RSF Hellas commits to the European Road Safety Charter for the next three years with the following actions. We will:

 
  • Provide free of charge first aid training to members of our organization as well as volunteers from other groups. These sessions will also be open to citizens. Our sessions will be taking place as part of the "First Aid in a car incident" program. This program aims to prepare people to deal with the immediate consequences after a car crash.
The training will be delivered by instructors certified by official agencies, by the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the HPS Group Hellas. The first of these sessions is planned to take place on the 5th of December 2010 at Nea Figalia in Peloponisos.
 
  • Introduce a section to our website related to road safety. This section will detail the potential risks that can occur when using the road network and will provide guidelines on how to deal with these incidents once they have occurred. Again the material to be published on the site will be produced by members of our organization who are experienced in the area of communications and /or in dealing with road accident related issues.
