What problem did you address/are you addressing?

Increasing the culture of road safety in order to reduce road accidents in Italy. Our Initiative Aims: raise awareness about the importance of using helmet and seat belts, Inform about the risks/effects of the consumption of alcohol and drugs when drive the vehicles, highlight the dangers in the evasion and fun evenings (weekends) and risky behavior on mopeds and motorcycles. The campaign is aimed at: young people from 14 years to adults. The campaign is running since 2003.

GAZEBO ROAD SAFETY:

moves in the squares and streets of the country and includes a gazebo, two driving simulators, panels with good road safety rules, projection of security dedicated spot, equipped routes for the simulation of driving drunk or drugged.

 

MAKING SPOT ROAD SAFETY:

The ANVU-Trentino, with the active collaboration of the School of Advanced Training Institute Pavoniano of Trento, have produced a short film on the issue of mobile phone use while driving; visible to links:

This video is projected in schools, during the Road Safety information days, and at fairs squares, markets and city festivals.

A second spot on the use of child seats in vehicles, is in the planning stage always with the collaboration of the Pavoniano of Trento Institute.

The spots are designed and built by students under the supervision of police officers - volunteers ANVU

 

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS DISTRIBUTION OF KNOWLEDGE:

It is made specific material for the dissemination of road rules of conduct that is distributed free.
It was created a colorable book for younger children that puts them in touch with traffic signals.

 

EDUCATION TRAFFIC POLICE OFFICERS:

each year are made numerous training courses and professional training for police officers in road traffic

How did you disseminate/are you disseminating results?

The promotion and dissemination of the culture of road safety is realized by distributing leaflets, putting up posters, the commercial projection. All material is self-produced with the involvement of partners.
