The European Commission announced the winners of its annual Excellence in Road Safety Awards which recognize six most innovative and successful initiatives undertaken by the European Road Safety Charter Signatories. Recipients were honoured at the Excellence in Road Safety Awards ceremony which took place on 2 December 2009 at the Berlaymont Building in Brussels.
