"Open Youth" is non-profit non-governmental volunteer organization, created and managed entirely by young people. Its aim is to support the formal, the informal and the vocational education of the youth; to use and disseminate the good practice in youth work and to fight the negative social phenomenon in the present society.
Every year, we carry out our "Drive responsibly" campaign. The action itself consists of providing free driving simulators, which simulate in real time dangerous situations on the road. For reaching the target we work with local authorities, schools and media.
In 2008 we did 9 actions in 5 cities reaching directly 2000 people. In 2009 we did 5 actions in 5 cities reaching almost 1000 young people. We plan to continue doing at least 5 actions every year by visiting at least 5 cities.
For our events we usually pick time with higher probability of road accident involving young people - around the graduation or at the beginning of the school year.
Duration of the commitment: 3 years.
