Association Tonyman la Route Tue
The Tonyman la Route Tue (ATRT) association provides assistance to the victims of road accidents and their families. It informs them about their rights with the assistance of a lawyer specialised in the defence and compensation of road accident victims (advice is provided free of charge to members and donors). The association assists road accident victims with their legal, police and insurance procedures without requiring prior membership. It has over 200 member families and approximately 1,000 "sympathisers".
Compromiso
We normally intervene after accidents have occurred, as we assist road accident victims and their families after a traffic accident involving injury or death. Among other things, we have just published a booklet to assist road accident victims. This document includes very specific and useful information, as well as valuable advice for victims and their families. It enables those who need to know what steps to take to understand what is going to happen and how to exercise their rights.
Furthermore, we wish to contribute to road accident prevention. In order to do so, we have set up a special section on our website that focuses on accident prevention, based on the following different themes:
- Seat belts
- Drinking and driving
- Safety distance
- Driving and the elderly
- Cannabis behind the wheel
We have also published a series of photos of accidents and shock videos in an attempt to raise awareness through striking visual illustrations of the consequences of reckless driving.
On our homepage, we have a visual animation that features the following message: No alcohol behind the wheel.
The various themes will be updated regularly in accordance with current events.
Our website receives 10,000 to 15,000 visits every month.
Duration of our commitment: 2009-2011.
