Founded in 1988 the VCÖ - Mobilität mit Zukunft (Austria Association for Sustainable Mobility) established itself as a specialist for environmentally friendly, safe and socially just mobility as well as efficient transport. The VCÖ is carrying out its activities in a close dialogue with the public and experts from politcs, administration, economy and science. Events and publications are an important part of its work and present intermediary results.

The VCÖ - Mobilität mit Zukunft (Austria Association for Sustainable Mobility) commits to release one publication per year (magazine, fact sheet, brochure or electronical newsletter) that is focusing on a specific topic of road safety. These publications are spread among about 20.000 decision makers in traffic policy.

 

Each year we will focus on a different issue and report on it using recent study results and background reports. We want to call people's attention to the fact that road safety in the first place means to be able to participate in traffic free of accidents and fear for everybody (including children, pedestrians and cyclists).

 

Additionally we will continue to address the general public and decision makers through our ongoing press work on road safety topics. We are always lobbying to improve legal regulations for road safety.
