21st Annual Meeting of the EVU at Brasov, Romania
27 - 29 September 2012
| Signatory EventThe 21st annual congress of EVU will take place in Braşov, which is located in the central part of Romania, about 200 km north of Bucharest.
The congress will be hosted by the Transylvania University of Braşov and also by the Romanian country group. The old Transylvanian city with a modern University and with many young people will become a platform for exchange of information between experts from European countries and USA. Two very important topics cover most part of the scientific program of the congress.
First of them will be concerning the intended introduction of Event Data Recorders (EDR) within the European Union. It is a very important subject, particularly interesting in view of the deficiency of traces on the site of accidents. We will try to interest the visitors with the existing achievements of Europe and to compare them with the experiences of the U.S., where such systems already exist. The second main theme will be problems related to the uncertainty and errors in accident reconstruction. The theme “Uncertainty” appears from 2007 regularly at our conferences. This year, these problems will be considered inside many papers. The congress will be complemented by lectures grouped in two sections: “New Technology” and “Open Forum”. Moreover, our guests will be able to visit our city and to participate in the social program.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the 21st EVU Annual Congress in Braşov. Cordially welcome!
