- Action 1
By cooperating with TÜV Rheinland Akademie we want to build awareness for the "Berufskraftfahrer-Qualifikationsgesetz" and its importance for drivers' safety. In this EU Directive it is prescribed that professional drivers have to attend five modules within five years. The modules comprise topics like safe driving, load securing or economic/efficient driving.
UTA regularly updates its customers to these topics in the ON TOUR magazine. Moreover, UTA customers are granted an exclusive discount on seminar bookings at TÜV Rheinland Akademie.
- Action 2
We have been supporting the DocStop initiative since its foundation and we are going to renew the partnership for another few years. The DocStop initiative is about medical treatment and healthcare for drivers en route. It consists of a network of doctors and hospitals which are located next to motorway service stations or truckstops. They play a major role in health promotion of truck drivers and thus in reduction of accidents. With this sponsorship UTA also aims at contributing to optimized working conditions for professional drivers. The sponsorship consists of financial support on the one hand and regular information and updates in our ON TOUR magazine. Moreover, we promote and highlight those petrol stations in our Station Finder that belong to the DocStop network.
- Action 3
Also for the next years we see the ON TOUR magazine as a great platform to communicate and raise awareness for topics that deal with safe driving, en route security etc. Beyond the purpose of information, we also aim at gaining new partners for several networks e.g. the DocStop initiative. The magazine is issued quarterly and reaches more than 140.000 readers.
- Action 4
Our aim for the next years is to support and participate actively in approx. 5 events regarding road safety - e.g. "Sächsischer Verkehrssicherheitstag", UICR World Championship etc.
Thanks to our network of different associations regarding logistics and road traffic, we are planning to take part in information days and/or competitions regarding safe driving.
Our contribution is sponsorship and financial support on the one hand but also to raise awareness to this topic by announcing the events in advance in our ON TOUR magazine, by showing presence at the events and handing out brochures and flyers to our customers.
- Action 5
In the context of safe driving, we also consider en route security and especially secure truck parkings as crucial. Therefore we fund several projects and organisations, e.g. ESPORG (European Secure Parking Organisation). At the same time we aim to enlarge our acceptance network of secure truck parkings in order to contribute to more security along Europe's motorways.
