The Verkehrssicherheitsteam (Traffic Safety Team) advises and schools approximately 1,500 participants per year on road safety and work safety for the traffic-related industries. Clients include freight transport companies, loading and shipping agents, accident insurance agencies, the Bundeswehr (German Federal Armed Forces) and the Deutsche Post (German Federal Post Office), as well as city, municipal and port authorities.

The Verkehrssicherheitsteam (Traffic Safety Team) renews its commitment in order to raise public awareness of traffic issues and contribute to improving road safety with the following actions over the next three years:

 

- Monthly we will post driver information and information regarding road safety for our clients and everybody who is interested on our website.

 

- Project “Blind Spot”: Unsalaried we carry out activities for children in elementary schools and other institutions once or twice a year. The road safety project “Blind Spot” is directed at the protection of children.

 

- At lorry checks with the local police we support prevention work (information and awareness rising) with lorry drivers regarding the topic “load securing”. This activity will be carried out three or four times per year. The danger of lacking load securing will be made clear to the drivers and they will receive help in subsequently securing their load.
