Medual is a private, non-profit institute for health promotion and prevention. Its focus is on education about first aid and emergency management. Medual employs around 100 instructors and trainers.

We will launch a new educational programme, entitled Startsafe, combining first aid training and preventative messages for the first time. These combined training sessions will enable us to raise awareness among young future drivers about the danger of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and show them the risks related to speeding. The programme will last for eight hours over one day and was praised in an educational study carried out by the University of Freiburg.

Startsafe was created so that young people can identify and thus respond better to the messages. Our instructors and trainers adopt the same way of speaking as young people and the whole programme is adapted to their specific approach.

Over the next three years, and in the context of the European Road Safety Charter, we would like to train 20,000 young driving beginners per year through this new programme.
