La Città Possibile is a private, non-profit organization based in Turin and co-ordinating a network of associations, initiative groups and businesses committed to such city issues as urban redevelopment, sustainable mobility and road safety, under the insignia of urban ecology and active citizenship. The association’s initiatives are based on the participation of approximately thirty active members.

1. We will carry out free consulting and training activities for technical officials and municipal police officers in seven municipalities in the Regions of Piemonte (Piedmont) and Valle d’Aosta (Aosta Valley).
   Some thirty road planning officials and members of the municipal police force will participate annually in five meetings for a total of approximately 20 hours of general and refresher training on the culture of road safety under the “Vision Zero” approach, as well as on measures of “Traffic Moderation”: “Zone 30”, roundabouts, raised intersections and raised crosswalks, load restrictions and the creation of chicanes. Moreover, specific technical documentation will also be produced.



2. Using a staff of seven promoters and the active collaboration of teachers and the municipal police force, we will host events providing road safety education at schools, for children ranging from the elementary to the upper study levels. The children will study the main causes of accidents and road danger on the local road network, measuring the flow and velocity of vehicles at “high-risk traffic points”.
   The program consists of a total of 14 hours of activities throughout the course of the year, to be carried out both in class and on the road, and will directly involve over a thousand students, indirectly involving another 3,000 students and 3,000 adults, primarily relatives, through awareness-raising activities.



3. We will produce informative leaflets and brochures for the municipalities, with an expected distribution among the public at large of 25-30,000 copies.
