The Centre for Research and Prevention of Injuries (CEREPRI) was established in December of 1991 under the auspices of the Hellenic Public Health Department of the Hellenic Ministry of Health, Welfare and Social Securities. It operates on the premises of the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Medical School at the University of Athens. CEREPRI's role is vital in the field of injury prevention among children and youth in Greece and throughout the world, by participating in national and international scientific research and programs and collaborating with various European and accession countries.

Engagement

We renew our commitment to the European Road Safety Charter for the next three years with the following actions:

1. We will upload educative material to our website related to road safety. These materials originate from current and previous projects and are addressed to 50 000 school teachers.

2. We will participate in National Network for Prevention of Accidents and Violence (EDIPAV). The aim of EDIPAV is to create synergies and join forces with the relevant actors in the field of injury prevention. We will collect data related to road safety and forward it to the Ministry.

Our objective in general is to educate young children hoping to create responsible future drivers.
