Etrasa is a road traffic publishing house involved in the marketing of books and software on road traffic for driving schools and professionals. It currently has some 70 employees (including the marketing network).

In order to raise awareness among children and adolescents about road safety and inform drivers as to the consequences of irresponsible acts, as well as making studies and the advances in road safety and its global importance available, we undertake to carry out the following actions:

1. Online Road Safety Competition

   Over the next three years, we will hold the online road safety competition for 12- to 16-year old students. First, they will be invited to attend a road safety conference, following which they will have the opportunity to take part in the competition and win a number of prizes. The pilot test was carried out in Madrid and some 2,500 children attended the talks, and only those who wished to participated in the competition. Over the next three years, our aim is to broaden this experience until it reaches a national level and is held on an annual basis. This year, we aim to base it in Madrid, Guadalajara and Toledo and thus exceed the number of students involved in the previous competition.
    

2. Etrasa undertakes to create a fixed space devoted to road safety in its “Travesía” publication. This is a quarterly magazine that the company publishes free of charge for all its clients (driving schools and driving school teachers). In this section, there will be news and advice on road safety issues. In principle, we will base the advice on issues that can be analysed and considered from a theoretical point of view, such as speed limits, dangerous manoeuvres, attitudes behind the wheel, and blood alcohol levels.
    
3. Etrasa website. Etrasa undertakes to assign a permanent area on its website to the specific issue of road safety. The website will periodically feature news on road safety and advice and proposals relating to raising road safety awareness.
