Poland | Association
We are an association of journalists. In recent years we have been concentrating on organising the Journalists’ Car Championships of Poland (improvement of driving skills), Supertest in Economy (propagation of economical, ecological and safe driving) and “Media and Road Safety” seminars.
Kötelezettségvállalás
Our activities will be directed to journalists who are road users themselves and, at the same time, can use their professional work to influence the attitudes and behaviour of other road users.
We are planning to develop the three main lines of our association's activities in the hope that the press, radio and television will make a bigger effort to shape proper attitudes of road users, to show good examples and denounce bad ones and also to cooperate in the organisation of campaigns and other public actions.
We will organise our annual Car Championships, in which about 50 colleagues take part each time. These persons will be able improve their skills in safe conditions and at the same time learn about the risk limits while driving.
Another action that we are planning to develop is the Supertest in Economy. The objective is to be made aware of the advantages of economical and safe driving. All the information about this action will be presented in the media and widely commented by journalists who share their experiences with the readers, listeners and viewers. The assessment of the results of the event will be sent to several dozen of journalists and press, radio and TV editor's offices. Television channels will be also permited to show reports from the events free of charge.
We are also going to organise the "Media and Road Safety" seminars on subjects related to the problems of road safety (for example: the cooperation of traffic police with the media, the role and the tasks of the media in the process of improving road safety or "Media and Road Safety - a mission or commission").
Each year we are planning to organise at least two stages of the Journalists' Car Rallies, one edition of the Supertest in Economy and one of "Media and Road Safety" seminar.
We assume that about 100 journalists will participate and, through them, several millions of readers, listeners and viewers will expand their knowledge about road safety.
