In line with its positive trend and commitment to the reduction of fatalities and accidents on Latvian roads, the European Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport welcomes the European Road Safety Charter in Riga on 12 May 2010.   The National Charter Tour and signing event reaches the Latvian capital and by this increases the number of signatories at national level.

In a bid to reduce fatal traffic accidents in Spain, numerous Spanish organisations will sign the European Road Safety Charter, providing a concrete response to the daily issues related to this matter. The signing ceremony will be held at the Ministry for Health and Social Policy (Paseo del Prado 18-20, Madrid) on 30 April 2010 at 10 a.m.   The European Road Safety Charter is a participative platform comprising over 1,700 companies, associations and public authorities from throughout Europe which have undertaken to carry out specific

The National Charter Tour took place on 2 March 2010 where German entities proudly committed to concrete road safety actions to improve fatalities and accidents on national roads. Hosted by Mr Matthias Petschke Head of Representation of the European Commission in Berlin, this European Road Safety Charter event gathered more than 80 participants. The event was held at the European Commission building, where German stakeholders showed their commitment to improve road safety.
