The goal of these events is to re-energize and refocus the company efforts to improve safety performance including personal safety driving - with personal commitments reviewed twice a year. The activities are focused on employees, site staff at retail sites and contractors aiming to improve the way we work and helping to prevent injuries and accidents - perhaps even save lives. We believe it will help to create a proactive generative culture within the organisation, where safety is proactive behaviour of all our employees.
Events are organized in a form of staff engagement meetings, where basic 12 live saving rules (e.g. drugs and alcohol policy, speed limits etc.) are discussed, learning points from incidents including road safety accidents are reviewed. Shell Safety Days includes First Aid trainings leaded by Medical Advisor. Special sessions are organized for contractor's staff and Shell retail station staff.
Parties involved: Shell Slovakia employees, contractors, retail site staff, accredited company and professional trainers for defensive and safe driving, first aid etc.
