At INSPECCIÓN TÉCNICA DE VEHÍCULOS DE ASTURIAS, S.A. we develop projects involving all Asturian students for which ROAD SAFETY EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION is the cornerstone.

For this and as part of the framework of corporate social responsibility, we carry out an educational activity called DRIVING WITH AWARENESS.

This initiative takes place annually, alternatively switching between primary and secondary school pupils in Asturian schools. http://itvasa.es/conducireconciencia/

The edition for third grade primary school pupils from the schools of the Principality of Asturias, during the 2011 – 2012 course, aims to achieve more conscientious future drivers, thus making sure that all road occupants are safer, by highlighting the importance of the use and maintenance of security systems inside vehicles in preventing accidents from happening. For this reason a series of teaching materials have been produced (Comics and DVD) which allow furthering knowledge and awareness in this area.

The second part of this activity involves a contest in which pupils may participate by developing a Decalogue in which to include the essential elements of road safety.

The edition intended for the Obligatory Secondary School pupils to be held during the next year, will seek to promote reflection among students of the third and fourth year of E.S.0. (Obligatory Secondary Education) about how they would raise awareness among people in their environment about road safety. The entries may be submitted by SMS, video recording and as power-point presentations.

The educational activity DRIVING WITH AWARENESS provides measurement indicators for the satisfaction gained by students and their tutors.

Our project will involve approximately 45 schools annually with a total of about 1600 students.
