Sweetslide is a company based in Lumezzane (Brescia) which organises entertainment, particularly for children. The company organises events and sets up public spaces for educational purposes. The permanent staff of four can be increased to up to fifty according to the size of the event to be organised.
In order to extend road safety education to the new generations, we will aim at pre-school children (from 3 to 6 years) and junior school children (from 8 to 10) and the associations of families of road accident victims who have cooperated with us for some time and close proximity to our project:
Our staff will set up a circuit in with different demands and proposals at various sites: car dealerships - private transport companies - shopping malls - streets and communal areas - road safety projects for adults and young children - business meetings and road safety rojects.
The circuit, scaled for children, will represent real conditions on the road, including some 20 vehicles (cars and motorcycles), a crossroads, a roundabout, two stops, one-way streets, B-roads, a flyover and full signals.
We also added and included a new area of theoretical teaching with the writen test that includes symbols that can be easily recognized by children. The symbols and wording have been designed in a age appropriate manner and are also placed on boards with visibility for those children who still do not know how to 'read or' write on the test cards prepared.
Admission will be free, as our sponsors will finance these events.
At the end of the circuit, each child will receive a “gadget”, a handy guide to the main road safety rules and a license showing the score our monitors give them (10,000 units each). Each European model mini license will have a space for a photos with name of the participant to the circuit and with the rank of scores achieved during the test.
