On the 30th of June, 2012, citizens of Vidin participated in the campaign "Prevention of alcohol abuse and drugs and the subsequent drive."
The action took place in the Danube Park and was open to all residents and guests of the city.
Total of 195 participants tested alcovision goggles, simulating the influence of alcohol while being sober; 87 citizens sat on the driving simulator – a 3D high-tech platform, designed to simulate the driving experience close to the real one; 114 arranged the puzzle, demonstrating the risks if the people are distracted on the road.
The new road signs exercises were tested by 71 participants. 123 persons experienced the newest prevention tool – specially developed weight calculator, showing to everyone how heavy his/her body is during a car crash with a certain speed (50, 90 or 130 km/h).
