AirPackage Tecnologies operates in the sector of research and development of new technologies applied to driving.

The concept of safety is also linked to the driver’s physical performance, his or her attention level for rapid neuromuscular responses to external stimuli. Air quality in the car is essential to avoid rebreathing (re-inhaling the same carbon dioxide), given that carbon dioxide, alcohol fumes (if there is an inebriated person in the car) and smoke (carbon monoxide) reduce neuromuscular responses. Consequently, changing the air is essential for safe driving.

This is why we have signed the European Road Safety Charter, undertaking to carry out the following programme:

We will compile research activities carried out in an educational book, which will be distributed free of charge to Italian driving schools that are members of the National Defensive Driving Consortium (more than 2,000 driving schools), specifically in order to raise awareness about a number of issues (such as greater safety in tunnels, pedestrian emergencies, heavy goods vehicles, accident rates among young people, smoking and drinking and road accidents, drugs and medicines and driving, hypoxia and hypercapnia, the biophysics of gas in an environment, ventilation and distribution of gases, illness in the car, etc.), making it a training topic for those involved (instructors, students, etc.) to improve education about car safety.
