Transport company KULJETUS EKLÖF OY, established in 1991 is a full service providing trailer hauling company. It employs directly 23 people and 50 sub-contractors companies. The main market area is current EU-countries.

Following the evaluation of our first commitment and considering that our action plan has had a positive effect on Road safety, we renew our commitment to the European Road Safety Charter with the same activities for the next 3 years.

 

We undertake to set up a 40-hour education course (five training weekends) for each driver every year, involving about 70 people.

The training will be organised in Lübeck, Germany, which is where most of the drivers meet when their trips end. Teachers from the logistics training centre Traffica Consulting (one per meeting), trainers from our insurance company Tapiola (one per meeting), trainers from our truck supplier Man Trucks and our own staff (two per meeting), along with two freelance translators, will teach common safety rules, such as load securing, for trucks. All information sheets and driver manuals will be published in four languages (Finnish, Estonian, German and Russian).
