We will apply a Mobility and Road Safety Plan that will allow us to learn, through surveys and assessments, what our travel habits are, and from there on, to implement the corresponding measures.
There will be national focus on the actions for the employees of Eurocopter España.
The indicators to be used will be drawn from the survey (accidents suffered, no. of kilometres, means of transportation, safe behaviour etc.).
Starting from there, preventive measures will be raised for the purposes of improving safety, such as:
- Awareness-raising: disseminating awareness videos for driving in adverse weather conditions, passive safety systems, active safety systems and vehicle maintenance, three-page road safety leaflets, awareness-raising posters.
- Improvement of vehicles: starting from risk assessment, improve rear-view mirrors (eliminating blind spots), preventive maintenance.
- Training for drivers: aimed at the positions of company drivers – retraining on safety regulations, on extreme driving; consideration will be given to offering these courses to other employees while taking advantage of the agreements with training organizations. During the 3 years of duration of the plan, the expected duration of the course is 24 hours in the case of the drivers.
In order to carry out the actions of the Mobility and Road Safety Plan, it has been agreed with the corresponding trade union representatives that a Working Group will be set up, which will be informed of the implementation and progress of the Plan.
The key factors will be the participation of the workers in the provision of data and the availability of means in order to implement the corresponding measures.
The actions will take place over the next 3 years.
