CNP Laiki Insurance and the Cyprus Police Traffic Department co-organised the Road Safety Week for the thirteenth year in succession, with the ongoing aim of both educating and creating good road safety awareness and culture amongst children and young people.

Le 18 Octobre 2012 a été décerné le premier "Go For Zero Award", concours organisé par l'Institut Belge pour la Sécurité Routière (IBRS). En organisant ce concours, l’IBSR entend stimuler les initiatives innovantes des services de police dans leur approche des principales problématiques de la sécurité routière: la vitesse, l’alcool et le non port de la ceinture. Le Secrétaire d'Etat à la Mobilité, Melchior Wathelet, a remis la récompense à la zone de police Regio Tielt.
