Ms Isabelle Kardacz, Head of Unit Road Safety European Commission will welcome 8 new and 6 renewed signatories of the European Road Safety Charter initiative on the 4th of June 2009, in Copenhagen, during the FIA Eurocouncil meeting.
The FIA member clubs from all over Europe responded positively to the invite to sign the European Road Safety Charter made by Mr Werner Kraus, Chairman of the FIA Eurocouncil: “As a signatory, your actions in favour of road safety are officially acknowledged by the European Commission and you will benefit from the overall promotion of the Campaign.”
“We believe that the automobile clubs can have strong influence on road safety actions to be taken in their countries, therefore we always encourage them to become signatories of the European Road Safety Charter”, Ms Aude Delesalle, European Road Safety Charter Coordinator declared before the signing event.
