Coach and bus operations, providing passenger vehicles for private hire, county council services and commercial services. There are 30 members of staff, 14 of whom are drivers.

We are highly committed to the European Road Safety Charter, as all of the 30 members of staff will be affected by its impact on road safety education. Our customers will also benefit from our commitment to the charter, as their journeys will be conducted to the highest degree of professionalism and with their absolute safety in mind. Over the next three years:

• We will provide National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) or equivalent training for the 14 current and any future members of the driving staff to enable them to improve the way they carry out their driving duties in a professional and safe manner. This is voluntary training, showing the level of commitment to the safety of all road users.


• We will introduce a system of ongoing assessment to be able to improve driving standards, thus reducing accidents. The outcome of such assessments will be used to educate staff on road safety and driving standards.
