Crotone is a city in Region of Calabria and capital of the Province of Crotone, which comprises 27 municipalities and has a population of 173,122 inhabitants. The Provincial Government looks after the interests of local communities and promotes their development, in particular with regard to administrative functions of provincial interest pertaining to the territory.

Through our Centro di Monitoraggio per la sicurezza stradale (Road Safety Monitoring Centre), we will carry out an in-depth analysis of the dynamics and causes of the most serious accidents taking place on our province’s roads in order to ascertain the determining factors for such accidents.

Following this analysis, we will proceed to strengthen educational road safety initiatives and launch a systematic training programme for the safe and sustainable mobility of the population of school age. All the schools in the Province will be involved, dedicating at least four hours to training the students on this matter.
