Libros will renew the commitment with following activities:

 

1. Promote the prevention of child safety on the road

 

A/ preparation of new projects and methods of education to increase safety of the children - Methodical project in collaboration with Palacký University Olomouc (Faculty of Education), University of Ostrava, Technical University (Faculty of Safety Engineering), and with Transport Research Centre Brno. The aim is to develop methodical principles of traffic education for pre-school children (3-6 years).

 

B/ entertaining educational programs for kindergartens and elementary schools, the aim is to attract:

I. Phase - kindergartens and schools of the city of Ostrava (80 kindergartens, approximately 3100 children)

II. Phase - kindergartens and schools of Moravian region (appr. 18000 children)

III. Phase - schools of the Czech Republic (different programs for appr. 30000 children)

Programs will have a form of games and contests on the topic of road safety. We will prepare a play for theatre on scenario of the illustrated publication for children ¨Ostravská dopravní školicka¨ (Traffic school of Ostrava).

 

These programs will be offered from June till September, 50% of the programs will be offered for free.

 

2. Improve behaviour of road users

 

We will offer several driving courses for free during the year for firemen, policemen, employees of hospitals, members of Integrated Rescue System, etc. Courses consist of theoretical part (specialized road safety topics) and practical part and will be provided on the Libros Ostrava Careful Driving Centre.
