ECTA commits to undertake the following actions:
 

1. To promote actively within the ECTA membership the implementation of ECTA-EPCA-Cefic Guidelines on Best Practices, especially those focused on road safety and specific driver training based on the BBS (Behavior Based Safety) principles, in the context of the Responsible Care initiative developed by the chemical transport industry through talks and conferences (2 conferences per year).

   • Year 1: 30 % of full road membership
   • Year 2: 40 % of full road membership
   • Year 3: 50 % of full road membership
      
2. To promote actively within the ECTA membership the use of ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) systems on newly purchased vehicles;

   • Year 1: 15 % of full road membership
   • Year 2: 25 % of full road membership
   • Year 3: 35 % of full road membership
      
3. To research and promote actively within the ECTA membership the use of reflective systems to increase vehicle visibility;
   
   Compliance goal:
   
   
   • Year 1: 10 % of full road membership
   • Year 2: 15 % of full road membership
   • Year 3: 25 % of full road membership
