The Cyprus Scout Association is addressing boys and girls and young people aged 7 to 17 years old through membership of three sections: Cubs, Scouts and Venture Scouts and Adult Leaders.
Membership of the Association now stands at 2200 young people and 300 Adult Leaders and supporters.

In order to promote road safety culture among the members, road safety activities will be part of the programme of all of our three sections. As such we commit to the European Road Safety Charter for the next three years with the following actions:
1. In the Cubs Section the Highway Code will be introduced in a progressive way through the Progress Training Scheme.
Topics like Highway Code and Road Safety will regularly the monthly theme in the Cub Pack, where safe driving and use of safety belts will be also covered. Good road use will be reinforced with the safe walking in the streets during visits and short walks.
2. Both Cubs and Scouts will be encouraged to achieve the Cyclist Bicycle Rider Proficiency Badge (different for each Section) as early as possible when they join the Pack or Troop. It is of significant importance for all groups to visit the Road Safety Park in Athalassa, Cyprus.
As part of our commitment:
A. At least 60% of all Cubs and Scouts will gain the Cyclist Badge within their first year in the Pack or Troop.
B. All Cub Packs will have Road Safety or similar as their monthly theme at least once every two years.
C. All Scout Troops will attend at least one Road Safety related meeting or other activity in their program every year.
D. All Venture Scout Units will include Road Safety, safe driving, drinking and driving motor cycle maintenance and other relevant topics in their program.
E. The National Commissioners of the three Sections (Cubs, Scouts and Adult leaders) will revise and update the relevant badge requirements in cooperation with the Traffic Unit of the Police and the Road Safety Unit of the Ministry of Communications and Works.
F. The Program Support Unit of the Association will prepare suitable material for all three Sections as a matter of priority.
