Slovenský zväz telesne postihnutých (Slovak Union of Physically Disabled People)
Slovak Union of Physically Disabled People is nationwide, voluntary, humanitarian and non-political subject open for all citizens willing to participate on its mission. It associates citizens with physical disability and severe physical disability, parents of physically disabled children, family relatives of physically disabled citizens, supporters of physically disabled no matter what nationality, sex, human race, colour of skin, language, belief and religion, political or other thinking, national or social origin, membership to national or ethnic minority, wealth, origin or other status they are.
Compromisso
We commit to European Road Safety Charter with the aim to decrease the obstacles and dangers for the disabled people in the road traffic.
- We will organize 8 discussions in all districts of Slovakia for our members and public to raise awareness about the danger of not using places with zebra crossing for crossing the road. The seminars will be in collaboration with Union of seniors in Slovakia. Number of participants: 250 members, people, seniors.
- We will produce leaflets about how to build zebra crossings to ensure safety crossing by reduced curbs, with respect of the width of the passage, etc. We will inform the professionals from architecture, transport and building companies to build crossing roads without obstacles for disabled people. The number of leaflets: 1,500.
- We will inform our members and citizens about the need to use reflexive stripes to be seen on the road in collaboration with Union of seniors in Slovakia. We will send emails and we will publish information on our webpage.
- We will publish articles and information on the Road Safety topic in our magazine ¨TP+TP¨ four times per year. This magazine is distributed not only to our members, but to insurance companies, Civil Service and other organizations.
