Compromisso
We know that through setting up objectives and exercising concrete activities, children become keen on independent thinking and demonstrate social community involvement. When well informed and worked with from an early age, people become responsible and learn to take the right decisions and actions. Therefore, the aim of our commitment for the next three years is to initiate permanent policy for education of young people in responsible behaviour on the road and culture of appropriate road traffic. This policy encompasses all figures participating in the educative process - students, parents and teachers.
- We will collects data registered in Sofia throughout the past 2 years (2009 and 2010) for traffic accidents involving young people. We will analyse the causes and the legal actions taken in these incidents. The students will get in touch with the local police and will present all the data and analysis in form of presentations. (Action to be implemented in 2011)
- We will regularly collect print and video material related to road safety with the aim of creating a school fund for road safety.
- We will regularly initiate discussions and demonstrations in the weekly extra class with the tutor, where we will use the collected print and video materials. For the students between 1st and 4th grade we are planning fairytales and songs for road safety.
- We will organise meetings and talks between representatives of Traffic Police Sofia, Bulgarian Red Cross and the parents of our students, related to the behaviour and reactions of the children as pedestrians, as passengers in the public transports and vehicles, as cyclists, etc.
- We will create special corners and information boards, offering information on road safety.
- On the school parents meetings we will regularly distribute information brochures, with the aim to improve parents´ knowledge of the safest methods of transporting their children and the potential risks they could face when the child is entering or exiting the vehicles.
- We will organise a school contest for the best drawing on the topic ´´Children for road safety´´
- With the collaboration of Municipality of Slatina, we will put horizontal and vertical road markings in front of the school.
- All materials and initiatives will be presented in an interesting and interactive way to the children and will be uploaded on the website of the school - www.138sou.com
