The National School of Infrastructure Technicians (ENTE) is an establishment for primary and ongoing training for high-level technicians, administrative secretaries and land transport controllers of the Ministry for Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and the Sea responsible for green technologies and climate-related negotiations. The ENTE in Valenciennes was awarded the Quality (ISO9001: 2008), Safety (OHSAS18001: 2007) and Environment (ISO14001: 2004) certification on 18 June 2009 and received the confirmation of its three-fold certification on 12 June 2010.

We undertake to carry out the following actions aimed at reducing the number of road accident victims, namely:

 

         To ensure the monitoring and continuous improvement (ISO9001) of the company travel plan (PDE) drawn up in November 2005, and to put forward new actions every year in accordance with the annual appraisal of this PDE.

 

         To sustain the car-sharing measure undertaken since 2005.

 

         To continue the information stands set up during the induction days for every new student class.

 

         To organise a Road Safety Day every year for all school students and staff which features: basic first aid, the distribution of information packs compiled for campaigns by the French Interministerial Delegation for Road Safety, the organisation of round tables bringing together representatives and national and local key players related to road safety (the Directorate for Road Safety, Traffic and Related Services, representing the Association for Road Accident Prevention), the distribution of hard-hitting videos, the distribution of breathalysers, “warning” key rings, “stunt car” activities, two-wheel driving and vehicle simulators, vision and reflex control, etc.

 

         To regularly inform students and staff via email, the Intranet and the Internet of the formulation of messages bringing to mind the code of conduct to be adopted to reduce the risk of accidents (OHSAS commitment 18001).

 

         To continue the organisation of “safety” training from the outset of the induction period for new trainees and ongoing training on the issue of eco-driving among ministry staff and local authorities.
