Nestled between the Enns and Danube Rivers, Sankt Valentin is the second largest municipality in the County of Amstetten with 9,000 inhabitants.

For the safety of Sankt Valentin’s 9,000 inhabitants, its Municipal Council will undertake the following measures:

• Build seven bicycle paths for the safety of all cyclists;
  
  
• Equip a total of ten pedestrian crossings with modern lighting specially designed for the pedestrian crossings in order to help prevent accidents;
  
  
• Equip pedestrian crossing signs with reflective yellow panels;
  
  
• Paint pedestrian crossings with red–white–red stripes to increase the safety of pedestrians in general and schoolchildren on their way to school in particular.
