Sebaction asbl
Belgium | Association
Sebaction is an association that fights against the lack of road safety in Belgium. Its action targets young people and so-called ‘weekend accidents’. The team comprises 250 volunteers. The main aim of the association is to inform and raise awareness regarding road hazards.
Commitment
With the overall objective of reducing road accidents among young people, we will undertake, over three years, the following actions:
To reduce so-called ‘weekend traffic accidents’. A team of volunteers will target clubs and bars to ask young people to pass a breath-test. If the alcohol breath-test is positive, the volunteers will try to find a means of organising the return of the person in question (by taking a taxi, going home with a friend, etc.). We aim to carry out this action at least 50 times a year.
To inform young people more completely about the dangers of the road, we will organise three conferences per month in schools and at youth organisations.
