This is a Public Service dedicated to ensuring Public Safety, which has full powers in matters of Road Safety in the urban area of town. The Town hall is located in Vila-real (Castellón) which has 52.000 inhabitants.

Actions to which we commit ourselves:

1. - Development of SEVIGRAC (Monitoring Unit for serious casualties resulting from traffic accidents). This is a Unit pertaining to the Local Police which tracks serious casualties resulting from traffic accidents. This unit focuses on 3 objectives: to see the development of the seriously injured during 30 days (thus, accounting for possible fatalities), to assess police action after the occurrence of the accident (thus bringing improvements) and to offer several public services to victims and/or their families.

2.- Promotion of the “Click, Hold on to Life” Campaign:
Exhibiting damaged vehicles in the Main Square, each of them being accompanied by a stand with a caption explaining the occurrence.
This event will be attended by members of the Association of acquired brain injury, Ateneo de Castellón, who will inform the audience, while handing out leaflets published for the occasion.
During this event images/videos about the use of seat-belts and child restraints. will also be screened.
Placing a rollover simulator with a seat-belt with the help of which you may experience overturning and its consequences regarding the use of seat-belts.
A campaign will be conducted for the surveillance of offenses related to the use of seat-belts and child restraints, especially in school areas.
There will also be open days, aimed at the Police, on the use of seat-belts and its consequences.

3.- Implementation of cycle lanes and of 30 Kph zones.

4.- ROAD SAFETY Training, also available for grown-ups, as well as in public and private schools. A team of specialized police officers will teach classes to about 3755 pupils per year, both theoretical and practical, carried out in their very own Road Safety park.

5.- Project for improving the design of urban space in order to achieve greater visibility and consequently reduce the number of car accidents.
