Lithuanian Youth Council (LiJOT) – the biggest non-governmental, non-profit umbrella structure for Lithuanian national youth organizations and regional unions of youth organizations. At present LiJOT has 60 members (non-governmental youth organisations), that means more than 200 000 young people in all Lithuania. The mission of LiJOT is to accurately represent the interests of numerous Lithuanian youth organizations. By serving as a platform for dialogue and initiatives we continuously observe and adjust to the political changes of young people.

We commit to:

* Take a role of a multiplier. That means to prepare a kit of material and distribute to our member organizations on the road safety issues in order they could work with their members. The kit would provide information in a youthful manner and include statistical data on European and Lithuanian situation in the field of road safety, already provided possibilities to have training and guest speakers in Lithuania, suggestions for organizations on methods how to work with road safety issues, good practice examples of other actors, possible partnerships. The kit would be updated and distributed every year. The number of kits distributed depends on the number of members in LiJOT (currently 59 units would be distributed).

* Prepare and include a presentation at our annual 2 Assemblies and 2 Youth forum events. The events yearly gather at least 400 young people. Within the Assembly framework to have interest groups on road safety issues and within the Youth forum framework to hold thematic corners of interest on road safety where guest speakers could share good practices, give lectures, etc. As well devote one session of the Assembly to consult the membership on ideas for a national campaign on road safety. 

* To include relevant information on road safety in our newsletter sent out every week and to upload relevant information onto our website on different road safety measures, campaigns and initiatives for youth.
