ASECON-ECT
ASECON-ECT is the professional association of Training Centres specializing mainly on Transport, Road Safety and Logistics, a leader in Spain as far as implementation, dimension and range of training. The 67 associated companies are located throughout the country; they have 326 centres, 1579 professional employees, more than 2.500 vehicles for practice and train approximately 45.000 students annually.
Commitment
ASECON-ECT undertakes to carry out an ongoing communication campaign regarding Road Safety through the intranet of the Association, where once a week, messages will be sent to the partners who will further redistribute them to their Training Centres, thus reaching all students, approximately 45,000 a year; these messages will always be related to road safety, prevention and awareness.
Road Safety
• Messages containing information about measures to be taken against speeding and drunk driving; they will promote the importance of using helmets and seatbelts, as well as other safety devices.
Prevention
• Messages are aimed at triggering prevention attitudes among drivers to help reduce the percentage of traffic accidents; they will also enhance such values as caution and responsibility concerning risk.
Awareness
• Messages meant to remind and inform drivers and other vehicle occupants about road risks and how to act to avoid and prevent accidents.
The campaign is aimed at both the private market and the companies of the ECT partners which together provided improved training of the new continuous training subsystem of more than 1.500 companies and over 75.000 students during the year 2008, collaborating in continuous and occupational training together with several institutions, social partners and companies.
Messages will be sent via Intranet and will cover topics related to Road Safety:
• Messages related to alcohol and other drugs.
• Messages related to self-control when speeding.
• Messages related to risk appetite.
• Messages related to fatigue, sleep and distraction.
