Arval Italy has set up a specific project, Ecopolis, dedicated to the development of practical sustainable mobility campaigns, in terms of making mobility both people-friendly (i.e. safe both for vehicle users, and for other road users) and environment-friendly (i.e. able to monitor and reduce its environmental impact).
Over the next few years, Arval Italia’s commitment to promoting road safety focuses on two key targets:

Employees who have been assigned company vehicles
Arval’s goal in this area is to educate and raise awareness among employees, encouraging them to adopt responsible, safe driving behaviour, monitoring any “risky behaviour” on the part of vehicle users and the number of accidents they are involved in. Arval also aims to directly involve their employees in safe driving courses and to equip each company vehicle with a safety kit containing tools to help ensure safety in the car or to prevent danger. Annual safe-driver courses, consisting of a day of theoretical and practical training, will gradually be given to all employees who have been assigned company vehicles.

Customers and Users of rental vehicles
Arval’s goal is to promote a culture of road safety, distributing information and increasing awareness and sense of responsibility on the part of both customers and users of rented vehicles. This will be achieved through campaigns to influence driving behaviour, such as highlighting “Safe Driving Tips” on the website dedicated to Arval drivers (http://drivers.arval.it).

Moreover, on an annual basis, at events and conferences in the sustainable mobility and safety field, Arval will be using the Corporate Vehicle Observatory to help communicate the results of the “Corporate Fleet Barometer” study, dedicated to fleet managers on a series of issues, including road safety, with the aim of disseminating information and creating a new culture on these issues.
